Service entrance conductors

Does the code limit the length of SEC's before you enter a building from the meter socket? I ask because I need to travel approx 50' outside underground before I can come up into panel in garage and was wondering if I need to install a disco out at the meter first?

No, but some local jurisdictions have their own requirements. You would do well to check the local laws.

Thanks Charlie, just got off the phone with the inspector, he said it will fly without the disco at the meter.
