I am trying to decide if this is a safe installation and could use some help.
A 3 phase 430 Volt wye service entrance, dose the grounding conductor need to be insulated? As of right now the service entrance has 3 insulated phase conductor and one uninsulated grounding conductor running down a pole to a 100 amp disconnect. Is this uninsulated service entrance conductor allowed because the load being used is 480 volts and no 277 is being used? So no current flows on this conduct other than leakage and ground faults.
Maybe there is to different possibilities depending on if it was being used as a grounded and grounding needing insulation or just grounding which can be uninsulated?
Or am i overthinking this haha.
