Is it ok to use three individual 2/0 Cu wires for a 200 amp service in conduit from the meter base to the breaker panel instead of the heavy gray 4/0 AL SEC cable? I want to use conduit to protect the wires and I do not want to wrestle with that stiff cable if I can use the individual wires. It is less than 10 feet between the two panels.

If this is a dwelling use Table 310.15(B)(6).
2/0 copper or 4/0 aluminum.

Yes, you can use a raceway instead of cable, and 2/0 copper is fine.
