I am installing an MCC in an existing industrial building. The MCC is fed from a disconnect several buildings away. Because the new MCC contains more than 6 disconnects in it I believe an incoming main switch is required. I've been told that this is would not be considered a "service entrance" so shutting off all power with 6 operations does not apply.
