service entry horizontal encasement

Question on encasement.
We have an apartment parallel feed we are going to Install. We are surface mounting down rear of bldg but then transitioning horizontally through a subfloor to existing meter room.
My question is for the concrete encasement where we go horizontally. Do we have to use pvc where encased or is emt ok as well since it is not in contact with the earth.

Art. 358.10 seems to allow it.

358.10 Uses Permitted.
(A) Exposed and Concealed. The use of EMT shall be
permitted for both exposed and concealed work.
(B) Corrosion Protection. Ferrous or nonferrous EMT, elbows,
couplings, and fittings shall be permitted to be installed
in concrete, in direct contact with the earth, or in
areas subject to severe corrosive influences where protected
by corrosion protection and approved as suitable for the
condition.
(C) Wet Locations. All supports, bolts, straps, screws, and
so forth shall be of corrosion-resistant materials or protected
against corrosion by corrosion-resistant materials.

The trick is to define corrosive influence

If that meets the definition of corrosive influence then that would apply to most interior locations.
