Service fo church

I am currently wiring a church. It is a 50'x80' metal bld. with a kitchen, a gym and 5 classrooms.
My question mailny has to do with service to the HVAC for the bld.
There are 4 heat pumps. Three 5 tons with with 40 amp compressors, min 60 amp circuits. With 20kw heaters, two 60 amp circuits to each for heat.
Then one 4 ton with 25 amp compressor, min 40 amp circuit with 15kw heat, one 30 amp circuit and one 60 amp circiut for heat.
These are 240v single phase.
In sizing the service do I have to use 100% demand factor for HVAC or can I use the larger of the two and omit the other.
Also if I can omit the smaller does that mean I can use a 400amp panel for the HVAC (only) or will I need to split the circuits between two panels to allow for the actual connected load being in excess of 400 amps? ie. 595 total amps.

Re: Service fo church

Section 220.60 of the NEC permits you to calculate only the larger of two or more noncoincident loads. Even though it is possible in your case that one unit will be operating on heat while another is cooling, I find that unlikely. So, I feel it would be sufficent to only include the largest load of each unit. (A/C vs. Heat Load)

The same goes for the equipment serving these systems. The panelboard need only be size for the largest load it must carry at one time. Not necessarily the connected load.
