Can Some Body Remind Me How To Size A Service Gutter. I Have To Replace A Service And I Want To Make Sure I Use The Proper Size Gutter.

C3PO,

I thought I could figure the answer out but I am still having trouble.

The conductors are: 4- 500 kcmil, 6- 300 kcmil, 3- 4/0, 13- 3/0, 3- 2/0,
8- 1/0, 9- #2, 5- #4. All conductors are type THWN.

I am wondering if a 12"x12"x12' gutter would be big enough for these conductors.

Is 376.22 going to be an issue? By my count you have 51 conductors.

If it's not a problem, I come up with ~68 sq. in. Looks like a 10x10 minimum.

Cow is right. You could do it in a 10" x 10". But since you have more than 30 conductors, you will have to derate everything per 310.15(B)(2)(a). If possible, I think I would try to divide everything up into 2 wireways with less than 30 current carrying conductors in each one so you would not have to derate.

You have 51 service conductors? Just a reminder that you cannot have feeder and branch circut wiring in the same raceway as service conductors.
