I could have sworn the minimum service mast size was 2"RSC.

Wasn't it that way at one time

I was surprised to see 230.28 specifies no minimum size

Pocos here used to be fine with 2" GRC all day long. Now, if the drop is long enough, they want 2½, 3, 3½ and even 4".

Have seen as small as 3/4” rigid masts supporting phone drops, so if you want to get technical then...........

Washington has very specific requirements on service masts that support service drops. The code recently added some language but not as specific as Washingtons.

Mast (not riser) sizes are determined by the PoCo and I have often seen 2" GRC as the minimum allowable.
