Is there a specification, other than local code for locating the service panel within the wall? Such as bottom of panel to floor distance, ect?

Re: Service panel clearances

Add NEC 404.8 (A) 6'4" to the main breaker handle
Most POCO's want the meter at 5' or eye level to grade. and what 110.26 implies is the requirement for 36" clear working space in front of the panel this is from the floor to the ceiling.

Roger: Very good quality photograph. What kind of camera do you use? How many pixels?

Bennie,
If you right-click on the photo and click on Properties you will see the photo is
480x640 and about 86K. It has a fairly modest DPI or it would be more K or even MB!

FYI: I try to limit my online pics to 50K and maximum width of 400 pixels. That way dial-ups can get them without choking, and folks running low resolution monitors don't have to scroll all over town. Usually 72DPI is OK for online. Also, .jpg is a good format for photos. .gif is good for graphics and .gif allows really small file sizes.

That is a very nice picture!

Bennie, thanks. It's an older Sony Mavica.

I like it because it uses standard floppy's, no need for any hardware for interfacing.

Good info Awwt also most dont know that when we view a photo on a good monitor it will allow for very low resolution and it will still look very clear and sharp. somthing to think about when you e-mail a photo to somone who's on a dialup connection.
