I’ve been overthinking this and confused myself, need some clarification.
An existing single phase service for a 2 family house comes in with 500mcm al and hits a 300 amp fused disconnect. From there the 500mcm al goes into a trough and is tapped off of with 2/0 cu to feed the meters for each unit. The 2/0 cu continues after the meters and each feeds a 150amp federal pacific panel. I’m swapping out the panels, can I upgrade them to 200amp panels without changing any feeders.
2/0cu at 83% is good for 200a, and the 500mcm al is protected by the fuses ?
