Is there a certain type of LB that is to be used when doing a new service such as S.E. mogul or can I use regular type LB's.

Re: Service piping

With a standard LB, the service cables will be bent to a radius exceeding the minimum permitted.

There is no spelled out text, about an LB of any style, for a service. Some utility companies will require a hole in the screw head for a seal.

There may have been changes in this procedure. Anyone who likes please jump in.

Welcome, or should I say Aloha. I lived in Kailua, Oahu in 1956. I have been to Hawaii about 20 times since then.

Regards.

Re: Service piping

See 314.28(A)(3). Standard conduit bodies may be too small for use with conductors #4 and larger. If the conduit body does not have a pipe to pipe dimension as required in 314.28(A)(2) then you have to use a larger conduit body or one that is identified for use with larger conductors per 314.28(A)(3).
