service rainhead at 45 degrees

Good morning,

my costumer would like me to install a new 200amp service on the fascia board of his "A" frame roof...
included is a picture (not actual picture), the "A" frame is a 45 degree. The service will be in 2 inch pipe and the service head will not be water tight if installed on the fascia board. If I rotate the service head so it points to the right, the service head seems water tight... the problem that arises is the drip conductors are near the house siding...
my question is... (1)is this allowed. (2) does anyone sell a rain head for this application.

First, we have installed at a 45 degree angle below a sloped roof many times and have had no problem with the weatherhead.

Second, and I don't know why, we NEVER make them water tight. Ever. We just knock out the holes and put the conductors in. Nothing else is done to keep water out and we have never had an issue.
 
Rotate the weatherhead on the pipe so the wires point down, not out.

I agree but if the weatherhead is very large it won't rotate straight down unless the conduit has some space behind it. We sometimes put a small offset at the end. Facing straight out like depict in the photo defeats the purpose of the weatherhead/drip loop. The drop conductors touching the siding isn't an issue.
 
Nothing wrong with leaving the raceway with weatherhead in a vertical position either, could even extend above the roof some, only needs to be RMC if the raceway is supporting the service drop.

If I were installing new service on the structure in the photo and were going down at same place that cable appears to go down, I'd probably use EMT, and extend it above the roof to a point that is to the left and higher then the point of attachment.

As a homeowner I would hate that. I might even request you change it.

As a homeowner I would hate either method and would ask you to put it underground, and if possible enter the structure below grade so nothing shows on the outside.:happyyes:
