Well question simple no volts amps or calculations emergency power switchboard to transfer switch 3 pole solid neutral connection then transfer switch feeds switchboard code rule jumper neutral at switchboard ? yes no

Question if this was a 4 pole transfer switch using switched neutral code rule shows both switchboard and generator neutral bonding jumper ? yes no

Where looking at art 250 .6 /250 .7

Next question does the switchboard if full rated and only feeds emergency loads when generator is running upon loss of normal power would that effect the bonding jumper in this case or what the switchboard is rated at lets say its fully rated ?

In this case which piece of equipment would be required as service rated and define service rated in simple terms .

Thanks for your input .

Looks to me like the question depends on whether you are running this generator as a separately derived system or not. If you are switching the neutrals, follow the rules for separately derived systems. If not, do not ground your generator or you will be setting up for objectionable currents on metal parts.
