I am installing a 20kw generac generator with a Nexus load sensing service rated transfer swtich. It is for the whole house and all circuits. I would normally just wire the transfer with to the meter and then feed the main panel, but space restrictions restrict this. I was wondering if it would be code to mount the transfer switch just below the main panel and then run new 2/0 wire from the meter though the main panel into the transfer swtich. Then back into the main panel to feed it. Thanks for any help.

I can't say that I know of a specific Code violation. You could not share a raceway into the TS.
Personally, I would view it as a violation of 230.70(A)(1), but your inspector may not wear my glasses.
