I'm being asked to to install a service rated switch on the outside of a building for a light fixture fed from another building. Is there a service rated single pole switch?

you do not need a service rated switch. What article is the inspector reading

Yes, I was assuming residential with just a light but I may have assumed to much. Personally I think that is a bad rule and I believe Chris wrote a proposal to take out the exception for residential. Hope it passes.

Not sure where you can get a service rated sp switch. Probably need a pull out or disco rated for service.
