Installing a blower in a wood shop.Is it that the service disconnect needs to be in sight of motor? Also this motor has a cheap plastic box on it.That has a cord,I need to hard wire the blower,it came with cord from the manufacturer.I do not want to break the plastic box trying to get a 1/2 inch knock out.Is cord ok,I have always used LTMC.Would cord be equivalent?Thanks

Since it has a cord can you simply install a receptacle? That would also serve as the disconnecting means.

No,they have the disconnect,no 3 phase recept/plug.

would it be against code to wire the cord to the disconnect,Also was looking for the article about disconnect being in sight of motor.Thanks
