Service switchboard internal transformer

I have main service switchboard that has internal factory provided 3kVA, 480V to 120V, transformer. The switchboard is listed.

Would one need to provide grounding electrode conductor or would that come internally with the service switchboard?

Not an issue for you or the installer, it is listed equipment.

However you say that it is service equipment and service equipment always requires a connection to a grounding electrode system via a grounding electrode conductor.

As Don stated once the equipment is listed no one should care how it's internally wired. We see these transformers often on switchboards for GFPE devices.
