my question is we have one transformer and we are serving 4 buildings
we are having one c/t cabinet either at the transformer or our at the closest building, and then going to each of the four buildings before the trough we want to have our main to the trough then our four tenants. i am looking at section 230 am i right to have one c/t by the transformer and the the main at each building trought
these are dwelling units
any help thanks as always

Am I understanding that you have one meter for all these dwellings? Why?

For separate structures see article 225 Part II . For services see article 230.

The code really isn't concerned about the metering of the electrical power. As pointed out by Dennis, the key is to ensuring your service or services / feeder or feeders are compliant.

Can you describe the install a little more clearly...

we have four buildings
off the transformer at the closest building we have a c/t
from there we have a main the trough and then 3 or four tenants
to the other thre we go under ground to a main, trough and 3 or four tenants
the grounds are sized for the total
thanks

Sleepy you need to try and write in sentence with punctuations, it is very hard reading your posts.

From what I read the wires underground to the other structures are feeders and need to be treated as such. That brings you to article 225 section II for that part of the install. Article 230 would include all up to the main disconnect.
