I have a location with an underground wet well for sewage inside a building. Both the wet well and inside the building is a classified location. The wet well has 3 lift motors that are cord connected. The environment is damp and corrosive in the wet well. The design is to connect the pumps to explosive rated outlets above the pit in the building that is directly above grade over the wet well. The wet well is precast and the lid is part of the floor of the building. Since the wet well is wet and corosive can i use pvc conduit for a sleve from the wet well to the area above to the cord and plug attachment location. The pvc would be open at both ends with a bushing in each end to protect the cord. The pvc conduit would come out the side of the wet well under ground and up through the floor of the building.

That's our standard practice but our lift stations are outdoors so no issue with odors coming up the PVC sleeve.
