Shallow plastic nail on boxes

I have been told of this product but I don't know the manufacture or where it comes from. Its a nail on single gang plastic box that is real shallow and has a side compartment for extra cubic inches. I guess its like Carlon's old work box B117RSW but it is nail on. Anybody seen such a animal? I could use 1 1/2 metal boxes and mud rings but I would like to try the plastic if I could find some.

These have been around as long as I can remember which, those that know me will attest to, may not REALLY be that long. Great for those spots where the walls tie together and a flat 2x4 is preventing a normal box from being installed.

Or if you need a switch near a pocket door. Not sure how to protect the wiring method from physical damage, and maintain the 1 1/4" spacing though? conduit stub up or down out of the box???
