shared neutals

Does anyone know of any provision in the nec, or any other good reason NOT to wire in the following way: 2 gang switchbox, fed by a 15 amp circuit. Take a 14/3 from the switchbox to the first light, powering it with the black wire from it's switch, proceed from the first light with 14/2 to second light, having grabbed the red wire from the 14/3 which is from the other switch. So we have 2 lighting loads sharing a common neutral down the 14/3 to the 2 gang switchbox. It's a single phase service. ANY reason not to do this?

Thanks!

Re: shared neutals

Thats a pretty normal installation, I don't see a problem, any lighting loads on that circuit are sharing the same nuetral any way.

It does not matter if you use the same neutral in the three conductor as long as the circuit/'s that are feeding the two switches are ether from the same breaker or if from two diffrent breakers they are on oppisite legs in the panel.
