Shared rail or rail-less racking systems

One feature of standard rail systems that we take for granted, is that you can get your wire management and grounding with less effort, than on a shared rail or rail-less system. Same with power optimizers or microinverters if applicable. So be sure to plan accordingly for how to solve these two problems that rails tend to help solve for you. No longer do you have an easy framework to lay out everything in advance of the module installation, when you have a rail-less system.

Shared rail systems like Sunframe also have similar issues. There isn't any integrated grounding in the rail-to-module interface, so each module needs a jumper, that is tek-screwed with a star washer in to the rail. And the drilling surface isn't uniform, so finding a place to land your jumper ring terminals and lugs can be tricky, as well as mounting wiring to the rail.
 
Thank you. I was looking at solar speed rack for the shared system. And quick mount PV for the rail-less. I was wondering how you could make a continuous non breakable ground with the quick mount PV with out using the old school method of a lug on each panel with a ground wire everywhere. Solar speed rack appears to have the wire control and grounding integrated into the system. We currently use ironridge and have been extremely happy with them.
