What is the code for sharing a neutral and ground for two receptacle circuits?

I'm running two 20A receptacle circuits to a check out area in a local second hand clothing store. The circuits will have very little load on them but they want two ran. I want to run 12-3 MC up to counter then split the two circuits from there.
I know this is allowed but I have never ran two circuits like this. Just wanted to check and make sure I'm not doing something wrong.

This is a good example of when to use MWBC's so that you only need to run one cable. You will find dissenting opinions on MWBC's in general. There are some who will never use them.

Isn't sharing a neutral prima facia evidence that you are not a professional?

No, it actually demonstrates that we learned our trade from professionals. The service coming into your home is a MWBC for all practical purposes:roll:
