sharing of neutral

Can someone point out the section of the NEC that states each branch circuit needs it's own neutral and can not be shared with another branch circuit.

To be fair, Multiwire branch circuits are kind of prohibited in most hazzardous locations unless a common disconnect means for all ungrounded conductors is used, see 501.18, 502.18, and 505.21 and take note of the exceptions.

Roger,
I wouldn't go as far as saying that they are prohibited in most classified locations. They are prohibited in Division 1 locations. I believe there are a lot more areas covered by Division 2 rules than by Division 1 rules.

Don, let's change the wording to say 2 out of 3 hazzardous classes. This would be a majority or "most" in this wording. :D
