Sharing Power Panels between floors

Is there anything in the NEC or NFPA that restricts or limits the power circuits from a panel on one floor being used for outlets or equipment on another floor in high rise buildings? I know that in the case of emergency lighting this is common, but using circuits between floors creates multiple problems when doing a remodel or trying to trouble shoot.

I agree. No rules against it. Sometimes, it is a good design choice.
