A few questions regarding these two details.

1. So obviously in some case the rock goes right up to the deck and in others it stope before the deck?
2. When it goes right up top the deck what does the sheetrock buy do about MC cables that are passing through? Electrician should put a sleeve prior?

Yes I know but how would the rock go up if there were Mc cables in thr way?

Sleeves are not required when MC passed through a fire rated partition. If the cable is installed before the rock then the sheetrocker has to cut around it. just like he has to cut around sprinkler pipes, plumbing pipes, duct work, etc.

OK with just said I'd imagine MC in ceiling I'd almost always installed prior to sheetrock correct,?

New construction then you would probably install first
