Does any one know what the standard is of what size lightning shield wire to use for 13.8kV overhead lines? Also, what should be used to ground this to the ground well/rod?
Do you mean the static wire that is installed above uninsulated powerlines?
If so, the size is determined by the span & the ice/wind load for the area. There are minimums listed in IEEE & NESC.
