Hi,
I'm detailing the plan for a building including a workshop. Power is 3phase 120/208V. Lighting in the shop will be modern T5 fluorescent. Tools include table saws, jointer, etc. I do not have specs yet but I expect to see about four 3 phase motors and another five or six single phase motors. I'm thinking it would be a good idea to add another distribution panel just for the stationary power tools to avoid voltage fluctuatons which might disrupt the lights (a couple of computers in the area also)
Do you guys agree it is worth a few extra bucks to do this?
thanks

Separate panel fed from same feeder/service/source will still create same voltage drop on the feeder/service/source. The separate panel alone is not the only thing to consider.
