Is it just me, or does anyone else have trouble getting done in a day what they want when working in the shop??? Not office work, but shop work, maintaining trucks, tools, equipment, prefab, ect....Seems the day always goes way to fast and I find to many extra projects to do. Oh well...we'll give it heck tommorow....

I try to do a little in the shop every morning before heading out. It helps but still have way to much to do.

I have a nasty habit of making myself very at home in the shop, which means what I drink at home, I drink in the shop. But my shop time is usually just to clear my head and get some of the frustrations from the week out. Still, its hard to get things done in that frame of mind; except fall asleep.

I hear you.:)

My shop is my place to go and wind down after a long day.
It's only 200 feet from my house, and I have to pass by it (my driveway) to get home, so I stop by every evening.

If I have shop work that I need to do, I do it in the morning before heading out, or on the weekend.

In the evening, I just sit around the shop, admire all my treasure , and think about what I have to do the next day.
That while I'm consuming a few cold ones.

My friends know that if they want to catch me, they only need to stop by my shop around 7 PM.

Like most on this site, I like to work, and being able to un-wind while surrounded with tools, supplies and yes, some junk, is something that only the truly "enlightened" can understand.:D

Yes, but can you still find stuff when you need it?

I can't find anything when the van/shop/office is clean and neat.

So who says all these younger gen kids are nothing but hassles. Sounds like youve found a good one. Teach him motivate him and train him. In five years he could be your lead man

All of our vans are set up exactly the same down to the pencil in the holder. The shop is also set up in an orderly fashion each shelf is dedicated to a certain item, recepts on one shelf switches on another white ,Ivory ,almond.

We try and keep everything close together that goes together like recepts and swithes are next to covers which are next to boxes.
