(A) Shore Power Receptacles.
(1) Enclosures. Receptacles intended to supply shore power to
boats must be part of a listed marina power outlet enclosure and be
installed in listed enclosures protected from the weather or in listed
weatherproof enclosures
Looking for opinions on if folks here would consider a single marine grade L5-30 receptacle & yellow flip cover (the yellow kind similar to those you see installed on the shore power pedestals) installed adjacent to an outdoor panel located at a dock a code compliant install to provide shore power to a boat?
The wording is jamming me up a bit here, does the or imply that it can be a standalone receptacle as long as it is marine grade?
Is the flip top yellow cover compliant in this instance?
Any opinions or insight would be appreciated.
Thanks!
