Short circuit test of liquid filled transformer

Hi All,
I have a question - IEEE C57.12.00 requires new transformers to be designed and manufactured to withstand mechanical and thermal stresses due to external short circuits. Do you mandate in your Specs that a Supplier perform this short circuit test in accordance with IEEE C57.12.90 or do you require that a Supplier perform this test on a similarly designed and manufactured unit?

We usually accept prototype testing. Is this a specially-designed, one-off transformer?

It would be extremely rare to require this test on your actual transformer. Type testing is generally always accepted.
