Short time withstand rating

I have the formula for determining the short time withstand rating for conductors written down at home somewhere, but I don't know where it is. Would someone be kind enough to give me the formula for both copper and aluminum? Thanks in advance.

copper is one amp for five seconds per 42.25 circular mils. Is that what you are looking for?
I don't have it for aluminum.
