Hello All,
My house was built in 1952 and obviously the previous owner did not maintain his house property. All the wires are not replaced with the standard romex. I check the outside breaker box the wires are old and thin, i am not sure the awg. It looks like one copper cable, another one is aluminum. Both cables are running 60 amp breakers. I am thinking for safety reasons, should I downgrade the breaker to 50 amp for the copper wire and 40 amp for the aluminum wire. Thanks for the help.
