I'm looking at a job to install a customer provided 100 kw generator and automatic transfer switch. The existing service has a ct cabinet, and a trough with 4-200 amp fused disconnects nippled to it. Do I need to install a main breaker?
I would install the ATS after the ct's and before the trough. No the ATS is not service rated. I was wondering about the main breaker because there's only four disconnects.
