I am installing a shower steamer in my house and it requires an 80 amp, 240v dedicated circuit. I know a disconnect is required, however, I have having a hard time determining the best option to take as far as wire size. I know that #3 would work, but im wondering if running aluminum SER to a disconnect would be the best option then run #3 THHN in conduit from the unit to the disconnect. Also, Im having a hard time finding a non-fusable disconnect. If any of you have recommendations or better options please let me know! It will be roughly 50 feet from main panel in the basement running through the floor joists.
