Shower trim

In a a nut shell (with code reference 2014). Are shower trims (Note: i know it doesn?t specifically say shower trim) required on recess cans that are installed in the bathtub or shower zone? Sick of this debate, but willing to hear more on it

Not all the time - it depends. Once the can is 8' above the threshold of the tub then it does not need to be rated wet location. 410.10(D)

It doesn't need to be enclosed, just wet location listed.

Never saw a shower trim that was listed wet with an open baffle. New one on me.:thumbsup:

Actually I take that back. I believe fan tech light grills are also open with an MR 16 bulb

Not inexpensive but we use a bunch of them, usually on a dimmer. They put a lot of light out, great for those that shave in the shower
