Shunt trip coil requirement

Hi
In NEC, is there any requirement for a shunt trip coil for all kitchen equipment that produces heat from electricity?(I mean shunt trip coil for each equipment ckt)

I believe you are talking about electrical cooking equipment under a class 1 hood. Like in a restrant. This is not a NEC issue but it is a fire code issue. They want the power disconnected if the halon system goes off under the hood

There have been many discussions of commercial kitchen "grease hoods" in this Forum.

NEC does not cover. NFPA 96 covers it. Read it closely.
