Shunt trip

We recently had a new elevator installed. The shunt trip was installed in the basement but the controller is in the attic. There is a disconecting means by the controller. Is this a code volation if so what artical?? Thanks

I dont see a violation.

i have seen some inspectors, Connecticut is one of them requiring shunt trip and reset to be in the machine room. I never questioned it where it says.
