My previous thread was closed due to someone being tired of me expressing my thanks for the forums member's help. I am still needing a certain book to help me study for my Master's test. Please pm me for more info. as I cannot post it here as I have done in the future. I thank you for all of the forum's help in the past and the future. Have a great day and God bless. sparky723

Man, you are good.

Unfortunately, I am a reference freak and keep my old stuff (I have math books from high school). I did notice Marc had some good resources and suggestions.

Good luck.

Your not looking for a rare or out of print book, open your wallet and buy it. That requires no help from anyone and then when you pass your masters test you can say with pride 'I did it on my own'.

Where there's a will, there's a way. You allready asked once, I think its time to drop it. If you are studying for your masters.... you should have the money. Yeah yeah, I know times are rough.... Its rough for everyone now. I am NOT trying to jab at you bud, but I am just saying if its something you need, sometimes you got to make the sacrifice and just pay the bill.

FWIW: You would have to ask the mods, but I suspect it was closed due to a direct solicitation. It did not help to prod the moderators by accusing them of belittling you as they had already allowed you to have some activity. They could have shut you down on the first post.

If you had asked: "where is a good place to find some used references" instead of "please sell me your used Mike Holt book entitled ____", the response may have been a little different.

Anyway, good luck on your test.

I've purchased many of Mike's products directly from his website for the full price (yes, even us mod's pay face value) and have yet to complain about one of them. The real issue here, and in that closed thread, is whether or not it's in poor taste to go on Mike Holt's Code Forum and ask for used books when they can be purchased directly from Mike himself. IMO it is and for that reason I'm closing this thread too. Sparky can be reached by PM if anyone would like to provide him additional information.
