I know I made a similar post about this but I want a dedicated post just on this issue.

I am reading this class T fuse series rating chart from Siemens. See red arrow in the picture attached. Is the bottom section where it says "T" for both 300V and 600V class T fuses or is it for 600V only? The fact that Siemens specified (300V) on the top section makes me still doubt that the bottom section applies to both 300V and 600V class T fuses. Really need to know this... What are your thought? See below picture and the chart can be found here:

Aren't some of the branch breakers listed, in the bottom section, 240V max?

And how the heck could there be a 1600A class T fuse?
Likely exists only in the classification under UL, seems as though the major mfrs all stop at 1200A on Class T. So yeah, looks as though 1600A would be theoretical…

As to the voltage, Class T fuses are labeled as 300V if restricted, but the 600V fuses don’t say that. So just like they show, there are Class T(300V), and just Class T, which could be used at any voltage UP TO 600V, so would be inclusive of 300V too. Ergo, if that’s all you have, you can use a Class T unrestricted on a breaker that is only rated for 120V as some of those are. You just can’t use a Class T(300V) on a 480V system.

I have wondered this. I would say that logically, the lower section is for any class T.
Yea my logic as well... I mean there are 250V and 600V fuses for class R fuses and they didn't explicitly state any specific voltage for those.

I have a strong feeling that the 1600A was a typo. You know how I know? because there is another Siemens series rating chart that showed 600A max for those breakers.

If I use a 300V class T fuse and something blows up because Siemens was not clear specifying the fuse voltage and just saying "T", will I get sued or will Siemens get sued? (I'm serious)

If you use a T(300V) fuse on a system rated for more than 300V, YOU have violated 110.3(B).

Siemens didn't...

That's not my point, I am talking about for example using a 300V class T fuse series rating combination on a HQS breaker. The chart just says "T" without (300V) for the HQS breaker.
