Anyone have a manual for this?

Does anyone know if, when in phone line trouble why it reports SI248, equipment failure?

Is it because of the telco trouble or is that another fatal flaw?

The raw data was IA 6 (SIA format). Which is System trouble comm fault typically.

I'm more concerned with it not reporting off normal every other day with the comm fault.

Usually it's a telco issue; low/no voltage on the line. Sometimes the PBX "analog" port doesn't agree with the modem.

yes, the line was disconnected. Since I couldnt get a keypad to hook up to it and see the trouble I wanted to make sure it hadn't gone bad. Its a tenant landlord issue now. Thank you.
