This van carries only $20.00 in copper

Steal this van - misdemeanor
Steal this van with full tank of gas -felony

Will the sign say "This van carries only $20.00 in copper" ? If it says anything about electrician anywhere else they will know you are lying! :)

Y'know, if I were the sensitive type, I could easily take offense at that statement.

But I ain't.

Hmmmm. I have thought of simular things...

"Pray the cops get to you first!"

"Beware of 6'2" 200lbs attack dog!"

"Moving targets are no problem"

(I actually had this on an old van)
"How do you know I don't have you in my sites right now?"

And have though of many other theatening slogans. But seeing that both of my rear windows got busted last week, and there was a label that said.
"Doors can not be opened from inside." Apparently the thief could not read, or did not speak or read english, and they tried anyway, and got nowhere. Good news is that it took a garden hose to wash the blood off. Bad news is that each window runs for $450. Worse... $1000 deductable!

So, I would suggest that whatever you come up with, translate into whatever localy spoken languages might be. Or international pictograph...

When I was in grade school, there was a crazy old coot who owned property beside the school. He kept the place overgrown, and kids would sneak over the fence and misbehave. He put a sign up in one of the junked-car windows that was quite effective with the misspelling:
Keep OuT! This Means you!
This porperty patroled with a 22 rifle
Tresspassers will be SHOT!
In that case, it actually lent some credibility to the threat: This man was a crazy old redneck! I expected to get shot if I stepped within 10' of that fence. Now, looking back, I suppose murdering 10-year-old trespassers might get the ole man in trouble, but that didn't occur to me then. :D

The sign worked.

After the hurricanes, there was a sign in front of a damaged business that stated, "This property protected by Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson."

All of these bumper stickers are all over the guns shows.

Trespassers will be shot, survivors will be shot again.

Anyone found inside, will be found in the morning.

Never mind the Dog....Beware of the owner!

Keep honking... I'm reloading.
