Sikmar high bays

Anyone have any opinion on these high bays? I was thinking T8 4 lights. To replace some MH 400W in a warehouse. Other brands or models welcome.

I just installed some Simkar 2x4 -T-5 6 tube fixtures in place of some 400 watt high bays and they love them.

thanks. I guess I will have to use 6 tube as well since the conversion chart is 6 for a 400w MH

If your talking about Simkar, I think they suffer in the quality control department. IMHO. (sorry simkar fans)

We use mostly Holophane and Lithonia when it comes to high bays. Check out the Holophane HB series.
Good quality stuff.

I spoke to Holophane (they do look good btw) and they are all made to order, and that takes 25 days. Ship from Texas. FYI.

T8 or T5? Aren't high bays T5

That is a good question. The jury seems to be out. The advantage of T8 is that they are the most energy efficient, I think. The T5 HO is still a newer and more expensive tech, with some apparent shortcomings, specifically, more complex and expensive ballasts.

I was hoping to use T8 because this is an energy rebate thing, even tho T5HO would probably be the best from a lighting POV.

I heard there is also actually a new 24 watt t8 for even more
savings. In the T5's I think the 4 bulb is equal to a 400MH????
