How many have tried this stuff.
It cost me an additional 250 buck compared to just spools of THHN. Seems alot easier to pull and storage is very nice. All these spools take a lot of space. Plus set up and dismantle.
Is it worth the extra cost.

Whether it is worth the extra cost is a personal decision. My take on the advantages:
Set up is quicker and more versatile. You can stack 8 to 10 pack vertically on a dolly, pull all the wires through the middle and then select the color combination you need for each pull. When ready to move on don't even need to secure the wires. At the end of sift, each roll secures quite easily. Replacing a roll also easy. pulling off has less tension. The wire oddly doesn't donut too badly. Easy to carry even though a #12 has 2000 feet on it. So less waste than a 500 foot roll, and easier to handle let alone the tree required and the handling of 2500 foot rolls. Worth it for me. I generally wouldn't get the one that has all multiple colors in a pack though. Go with the simpull barrels for that.

I don't know what you're paying for regular number 12 but 1800 ft of number 12 THHN is running a little north of 400 bucks maybe. Got to save a lot of money in labor to make an extra 250 bucks worthwhile.

Yeah, something seems wrong, last time I was responsible for purchasing the price was about 18% higher. 60% would be wayyyyyy too steep.
