Had to replace a couple of switches hit by a tall rack. This worked out well, as the RS cover is the old type with raised corners. Not doable with the flat corner type sold today.

A couple of spacers or standoffs will make it happen with the new-style covers.

I know they make switch guards, but I think I've also seen people install 2 hole straps over each switch.

I can't imagine there's a rule that says that a switch protector can not be made with a listed part.

I like it. (y)

That would probably work but we have a hard time ordering anything special. Our supply chain is complicated. I always try to use what I have.

I have used the half moon switch guards but they are mainly to protect the switch from accidental engagement. I most often used them on counter switches for dishwashers, especially multi gang. Customer would kill dishwasher trying to work the lights. 🤣 The half moon still slows the switch to be used but with deliberate effort.
