single ATS for whole building

To me this seems to be a code violation but I see it more and more when looking over drawings. There hasn't been a new change to the code that allows smaller (non healthcare) facilities to use one ATS right? In the image below, the normal for the ATS comes directly from the utility and it's the only feed to the building.

The trick we use is to be sure the generator is a 702 gen only. The 700 and 701 loads get handled in other ways with batteries for example.

Then one ATS is ok

Got it so "bug eyes" would work... didn't think of that just by looking at only the riser. Thanks.

Even if they need a fire pump, we put in a diesel coupled fire pump and then the generator set still is only 702.
