Looks ok to me, as long as the AHJ doesn't mind evacuating two buildings for every alarm. The rule that you have one F/A system per building isn't the same as one building per F/A system.

You shouldn't have to evacuate both "buildings". Even the most fundamental fire alarm systems today, usually have zone notification capability.

It depends on the size of the building(s). Beyond a certain population size (i don't know how big), it's actually more risky to have too many people fighting to get out at once.
