Hello,
Can anyone shed some light on why Art. 392 is silent on solid conductor cables in solid bottom cable tray? Thanks in advance. :)
 
Do you mean "single core cable" instead of "solid conductor cable", do you?
 
The cable conductor may be one of these types:
Concentric [simply stranded], compressed or compacted. For large cross-section area, in order to reduce skin effect there are segmental and impregnated. Only in small cables the conductor may be solid.

Thanks... Forgot they usually don't make solid conductors above #8.
