My industrial feeder application is to an AC dynamometer (robust squirrel cage induction motor that acts as a generator when rotational energy is applied). This 460V/3P/500HP motor draws 645 AMPs continuous from a 60Hz source. The system is also rated for 150% overload capacity (peak) for 60 seconds once every 5 minutes. This is a research laboratory and test loading varies in controlled intervals.
