My test wall sub panel for new products is being fed by a 208v Y panel via a two pole breaker (single phase 208). The distance between my feed and my sub is not going to allow any new wires to be installed, so I have L1 N and L2. The equipment being tested requires true 240v with a neutral. The Larson brand isolation buck-Boost transformer when wired according to the diagram for my needs does not give me a usable neutral voltage (149V-220V) but it does give me 240v. My goal was to create a synthetic neutral leg 120v L-N with the transformer. Has any one dealt with a similar situation, am I wiring it wrong or do I have the wrong transformer?

I'd say you need a 208v-to-120/240v 1-phase transformer.

You need a unit center-tapped secondary to get a neutral.
